Angel Items

Angel Items are created from donated wedding / bridesmaids gowns, sewn into tiny outfits, or knitted and crocheted from donated wool. These items are packaged to create an Angel Layette which are gifted, at no cost, to grieving families for their precious baby who was born sleeping, has not survived an illness, or is born premature and does not make it home from the hospital.

Our seamstresses, knitters and crocheters create a variety of sizes for babies starting from the tiniest, fragile angels that are too delicate to be dressed, born at 13 weeks (.8 oz.), right up to full term babies at 40 weeks (9 lbs.).

Our seamstresses also create a pouch for miscarriages, the pouches are gifted directly to the hospitals and funeral homes. The pouch provides comfort to family.

Angel Layettes include a hat, Angel wrap and keepsake pouch with memory card and bracelet for babies less than 1.5 lbs, and a bonnet/hat, Angel dress, blanket and keepsake pouch with memory card and bracelet for babies between 1.5 lbs and 9 lbs.

Seamstresses, knitters and crocheters create the Angel Layettes in male, female and neutral colours. We also provide multiple birth Layettes.

Any costs incurred are absorbed by Manitoba Angel Dresses.
